FAILURE TO APPEAR / FELONY HOME INVASION

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Charles Joseph Berger, 32, of 125 Clark Road, Morgan City, LA, after he failed to appear for a scheduled court proceeding on felony charges.

Charles Joseph Berger was arrested on May 19, 2020, in Assumption Parish on charges of Home Invasion and Cruelty to the Infirmed. Berger was later released on bond and ordered to appear in court on October 25, 2021.

Charles Joseph Berger failed to appear in court and as a result a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Charles Joseph Berger was arrested by the Deridder Police Department on May 24, 2022. Berger was returned to Assumption Parish and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Thursday on charges of:

*Failure to Appear – Assumption Parish
– Home Invasion
– Battery of the Infirmed

Charles Joseph Berger remains incarcerated and ordered held without bond.
