FAILURE TO APPEAR MULTIPLE FELONIES / ASSUMPTION PARISH

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Betheny Nicole Mecom, 29, of Morgan City, LA, on multiple felony warrants in Assumption Parish and faces charges in other jurisdictions as well.

Assumption Parish Deputies took Mecom into custody from the Morgan City Jail on Wednesday and booked her into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on failure to appear warrants in Assumption Parish for:

*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substances

Betheny Nicole Mecom failed to appear for trial on November 23, 2021.

Betheny Nicole Mecom remains in the custody of Assumption Parish without bond.

Upon release, Mecom faces charges in St. Mary Parish and Caddo Parish.
