FAILURE TO APPEAR – MULTIPLE FELONY DRUG CHARGES – ASSUMPTION – ELTON JAMES RYDER, JR.
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Elton James Ryder, Jr. 42, of 2810 Northeast Evangeline Thruway, Lafayette, LA, on multiple failure to appear charges on felony drug counts in Assumption Parish.
Elton James Ryder, Jr. was previously arrested in Assumption Parish and as a result was ordered to appear in court on February 10, 2025. Elton James Ryder, Jr. failed to appear as ordered resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest.
Elton James Ryder, Jr. was arrested by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office on May 3, 2025. Ryder was transferred to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on May 6, 2025, and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center as follows:
*Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on February 10, 2025, on Counts of:
-Possession of Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substances to Wit
Methamphetamine
-Possession of Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substances to Wit:
Sublingual (Sedatives)
Elton James Ryder, Jr. remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
