FAILURE TO APPEAR – RESISTING AN OFFICER WITH FORCE OR VIOLENCE

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Travis McNeil Muse, 41, of 169 Hwy. 403, Paincourtville, LA, on felony charges arising from a traffic stop south of Napoleonville on Saturday evening.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation near the LA 1 and the LA 1011 Bridge and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The vehicle did not yield to the deputy’s attempt to stop and in fact at some point, the suspect jumped out the vehicle while still in motion.
The deputy engaged in a foot pursuit which turned physical. The deputy was able to take the suspect into custody after a brief struggle.
Travis McNeil Muse was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Resisting Arrest with Force or Violence (Felony)
*Resisting an Officer
*Possession of Marijuana (Seized at the time of the arrest)
*Failure to Appear Warrant – Assumption Parish – Multiple Traffic Violations, bond set at $591.
Travis McNeil Muse remains incarcerated with bond set at $65,591.
