FAILURE TO APPEAR – SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION VIOLATION

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Marlon D. Simon, 42, of 179 Highway 998, Belle Rose, LA, on a warrant charging him with Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on sex offender registrations violations.

Marlon D. Simon was previously arrested on charges of Failure to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender and as a result of that arrest was ordered to appear in court on May 20, 2024, and failed to do so.

As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest on May 23, 2024.

Marlon D. Simon was arrested by the Westwego Police Department on September 12, 2024. Simon was released to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on September 16, 2024. Marlon D. Simon was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on May 20, 2024, on a Count of:
– Failure to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender

Marlon D. Simon remains incarcerated and ordered held without bond.
