FAILURE TO APPEAR – THEFT – ASSUMPTION PARISH

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Derek Anthony Dufrene, 40, of 9067 Highway 941, Gonzales, LA, on a warrant for Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish.

Derek Anthony Dufrene was previously arrested in Assumption Parish on charges of Theft of a Motor Vehicle. As a result of that arrest, Derek Anthony Dufrene was served Notice to Appear in Court on February 7, 2022.

Dufrene failed to appear as ordered resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest on February 14, 2022.

Derek Anthony Dufrene was arrested on Wednesday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on February 7, 2022 on a charge of Theft of a Motor Vehicle.

Derek Anthony Dufrene remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
