FAILURE TO APPEAR WARRANT FROM EAST BATON ROUGH PARISH 4TH OFFENSE D.W.I. – KHALID ASIM COATES

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Khalid Asim Coates, 41, of 11017 Toledo Bend, Baton Rouge, La, on a warrant from East Baton Rouge Parish for Failure to Appear – Fourth Offense, Driving While Intoxicated.

A uniformed patrol deputy initiated a stop of a vehicle for a traffic violation. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Khalid Asim Coates and proceeded to conduct an officer / violator interview. During that process, deputies conducted a warrant check which indicated that Coates was wanted in East Baton Rouge Parish on a warrant for Failure to Appear.

Khalid Asim Coates was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Fugitive – East Baton Rough Parish on Charges of Driving While Intoxicated
-Fourth Offense

Khalid Asim Coates was transferred to the custody of the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.
