FAILURE TO APPEAR WARRANTS – FELONY

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kenneth Lee Benoit, 40, of 216 Jupiter Street, Morgan City, LA, on fugitive felony warrants for St. Mary Parish.

On Wednesday, Deputies responded to a complaint at a location on Teddy Street in Pierre Part, LA.

While investigating the original complaint, deputies came into contact with Kenneth Lee Benoit. Deputies conducted a criminal records inquiry and determined that Benoit was wanted on failure to appear warrants in St. Mary Parish as well as a fugitive warrant.

Kenneth Lee Benoit was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Failure to Appear Warrant – Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
*Failure to Appear – Criminal Neglect
*Failure to Appear – Possession of Amphetamine / Dextro Amphetamine

Kenneth Lee Benoit remains incarcerated without bond and awaits transfer to St. Mary Parish.
