FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER OR CHILD PREDATOR

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports arrest the William David Defoor, III, 43, of 199 Flat Town Road, Leesville, LA, on felony charges related to his Failure to Notify and Register as a Sex Offender / Child Predator.
On June 10, 2024, detectives received information of an alleged sex offender being out of compliance with his sex offender registration out of Vernon Parish. Detectives initiated an investigation and determined that William David Defoor, III had been residing in Pierre Part and working at a construction site in Bayou L’Ourse and failed to notify the Sheriff’s Office as required by law.
William David Defoor, III, was arrested Tuesday at a residence in the 2300 block of Highway 662. Defoor was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Failure to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender or Child Predator
William David Defoor, III remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
