FELONY DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – JOSHUA O. HERBERT
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Joshua O. Herbert, 34, of 179 Violet Street, Labadieville, LA, on felony drug distribution charges.
The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Division initiated an undercover operation in 2020. During Operation “Take a Ride”, agents developed information that Joshua O. Herbert was illegally trafficking narcotics in Assumption Parish.
In late 2020, agents secured probable cause to present evidence to an Assumption Parish Grand Jury. As a result, the Grand Jury indicted Joshua O. Herbert.
Warrants were issued for Herbert’s arrest and entered into the National Database listing Herbert as wanted. On June23, 2022, Joshua O. Herbert was arrested in Grundy County, Illinois on the Assumption Parish warrants.
Joshua O. Herbert was returned to Louisiana through legal process. He was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Thursday on charges of:
*Distribution of Marijuana
*Distribution of Cocaine
Joshua O. Herbert remains incarcerated with bond set at $150,000.
