FELONY FUGITIVE ARREST – TRAFFIC STOP

PLATTENVILLE –Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Herbert Jerome Joseph, Jr., 23, of 3386 Back Marrais Road, Napoleonville, La., on felony fugitive warrant following a traffic stop on Saturday.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation near LA 308 and Spur 70 in Plattenville and initiated a stop of the vehicle.

Upon coming into contact with the driver, the deputy was able to identify the subject as Herbert Jerome Joseph, Jr., and determined that Joseph was wanted by Louisiana State Police Troop I on a felony warrant for insurance fraud.

Herbert Jerome Joseph, Jr. was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a charge of:

*Fugitive Warrant – Insurance Fraud

Joseph was released on a $5,000 bond.
