FELONY THEFT – JOSHUA LEE HOLBERT

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Joshua Lee Holbert, 36, of 119 Cecelia Street, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on felony charges related to the theft of an I-Pad Pro laptop from the suspects former employer.

On January 19, 2026, deputies responded to a complaint from a local contractor who reported that Joshua Lee Holbert had been an employee and as such was issued the I-pad as an employment tool. Upon termination of employment, Joshua Lee Holbert failed to return the I-pad upon demand.

It was further determined that Joshua Lee Holbert was attempting
to sell the I-pad on Facebook.
The I-pad was valued at $2,500.

At the conclusion of the investigation, deputies secured an arrest warrant charging Joshua Lee Holbert with felony theft.

Joshua Lee Holbert was arrested in Bayou L’Ourse on Tuesday evening and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Cener on charges of:

Joshua Lee Holbert remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
