FELONY THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLES – SIMPLE CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY – ADAM JOSEPH CARRERE
AMELIA – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Adam Joseph Carrere, 40, of 2331 Bayou Blue Road, Houma, LA, on felony theft charges arising from an incident at a business near Amelia.
On December 9, 2022, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a complaint at a business on East Service Road regarding the theft of two side by side UTV’s.
Detectives initiated an investigation and were able to identify three suspects including Adam Joseph Carrere. Arrests warrants were obtained but all three were in custody in other jurisdictions.
Adam Joseph Carrere was transferred from Terrebonne Parish Jail and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Felony Theft of a Motor Vehicle (2 Counts)
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property
Adam Joseph Carrere remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
The remaining suspects are identified as:
-Brian Kelly Wright, 49, of 142 Ponderosa Lane, Gray, LA
-Stephen M. Sheppard, 51, of 415 Country Estates, Houma, LA
Both Wright and Sheppard are incarcerated in other jurisdictions and will be transferred to Assumption parish at the appropriate time. Both face charges of Felony Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Simple Criminal Damage to Property.
