FELONY THEFT – TWO (2) COUNTS
PRESTON LADNIER SAUCIER
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Preston Ladnier Saucier, 39, of 103 Linda Circle, Ocean Springs, Mississippi, on felony theft charges relating to the theft of a boat, motor and trailer as well as a utility trailer from an establishment near Plattenville on or about June 5, 2020.
This marks the second felony arrest in the case. On June 19, 2020, detectives arrested Cory P. Malbrough, 33, of 115 Chauvin Street, Chauvin, LA, also charging him with two counts of felony theft.
On June 5, 2020, deputies responded to the complaint and subsequently forwarded the case to the Detective Bureau for further investigation.
Detectives were able to develop both Malbrough and Preston Ladnier Saucier as suspects and applied for and were granted warrants charging the pair.
Malbrough was apprehended with the assistance of Terrebonne and Lafourche Parish authorities and the boat, motor and trailer were recovered.
Preston Ladnier Saucier was arrested with the assistance of the Jackson County Mississippi Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday. Saucier was transported to Assumption Parish and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Facility on charges of:

Saucier remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
