FINANCIAL CRIMES INVESTIGATION
DON CORNELIUS JEFFERSON, JR.

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Don Cornelius Jefferson, Jr., 25, of 520 Centanni Road, Kenner, LA, on charges arising from a financial crime’s investigation on or about October 16, 2024.

On the aforementioned date deputies were dispatched to a complaint at which time it was reported that checks were mailed from the complainant to a vendor. The checks never reached their intended destination and were illegally cashed.

Detectives initiated an investigation and were able to identify Don Cornelius Jefferson, Jr. as a suspect.

Detectives secured arrest warrants for Don Cornelius Jefferson, Jr. and he was subsequently arrested on February 24, 2025, by the Kenner Police Department.

Don Cornelius Jefferson, Jr., was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Felony Identify Theft
*Bank Fraud
*Illegal Transmission of Monetary Funds
*Access Device Fraud
*Felony Theft $5,000 to $25,000
*Fugitive – Harrahan Police Department

Don Cornelius Jefferson, Jr. remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
