FIRST DEGREE RAPE – GAGE AUSTIN GROS

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Gage Austin Gros, 29, of 5882 Highway 1, Paincourtville, LA, on first degree rape charges arising from a series of incidents which allegedly occurred between July of 2022 and July of 2025.

On or about July 26, 2025, a female under the age of 12 reported to the Montgomery County, Texas Sheriff’s Office that she was raped by a close biological relative on multiple occasions at a residence near Paincourtville, LA. Montgomery County Texas officials initiated an investigation. Their findings were forwarded to Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Detectives in October 2025.

Detectives here continued that investigation which focused on an individual now identified as Gage Austin Gros. Detectives obtained probable cause sufficient to request multiple search warrants in connection with this investigation. As a result of executing those search warrants, detectives recovered evidence pertinent to this investigation.

At the conclusion of this investigation, detectives secured an arrest warrant charging Gage Austin Gros with First Degree Rape.

Gage Austin Gros was arrested on Wednesday afternoon and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a charge of:

Gage Austin Gros remains incarcerated and ordered held without bond.
