NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Vaughn Menard Millien, 26, of 3719 Highway 1, Napoleonville, LA, on charges related to a forged check.
On May 11, 2019, deputies responded to a complaint of a stolen check from a vehicle on Howard Lane.
Responding deputies spoke to the complainant who advised that he had provided a ride to Vaughn Menard Millien. At some point, the victim noticed a check missing from his truck.
It was later learned that Millien had forged the check and tried to cash it at a local bank.
Deputies recovered video surveillance depicting Millien as the person who tried to cash the stolen check.
Based on witness accounts as well as video security footage, a warrant was issued on June 13, 2019 for Millien’s arrest. He was taken into custody on Wednesday in Lafourche Parish and transported back to Assumption Parish where he was booked on charges of:
*Theft Under $1000
*Forgery
Vaughn Menard Millien was released on a $7,000 bond.
