FUGITIVE ARREST – YAHAIRA M. ALCANTARA

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Yahaira M. Alcantara, 45, of 2876 Hickorybrook Drive., Gretna, La., following a traffic stop near Labadieville on Friday morning.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver now identified as Yahaira M. Alcantara and engaged in an officer / violator interview. The deputy conducted a warrants check on Alcantara and determined that she was wanted by the New Orleans Police Department on a fugitive warrant for domestic abuse violence.

Yahaira M. Alcantara was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Fugitive Warrant – Domestic Abuse Violence

Yahaira M. Alcantara remains incarcerated pending transfer to the New Orleans Police Department.
