FUGITIVE ARREST – MULTIPLE WARRANTS – ANGELINE OFFORD

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Angeline Offord, 46, of 6538 Crosswell Street, Houston, Texas, on multiple fugitive warrants following a traffic stop on LA 70 East early Sunday.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle westbound on LA 70 commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of the vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Angeline Offord and engaged in an officer / violator interview.

The deputy conducted a warrants check through the communications division and was advised of multiple felony fugitive warrants which were outstanding in two different states.

Angeline Offord was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Fugitive Warrant – Aggravated Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Jefferson County, Texas)
*Fugitive Warrant – Probation Violation (Gwinnett County, Georgia)
*Fugitive Warrant – Financial Transaction Card Fraud (Johns Creek Police Department, Georgia)

Angeline Offord remains incarcerated pending extradition proceedings to the states of Texas and Georgia.
