FUGITIVE WARRANT – MORGAN CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT – BENJAMIN DAVID VINING

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Benjamin David Vining, 29, of 1515 Nevada Street, Morgan City, LA, on warrants charging him with Contempt of Court – Failure to Appear, to serve a court-mandated sentence in St. Mary Parish, City of Morgan City.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a westbound vehicle on LA 70 in Pierre Part traveling at 64 miles per hour in a 45-mile speed zone. The deputy conducted a stop of that vehicle and made contact with the driver now identified as Benjamin David Vining.

The deputy conducted a warrants check and determined that Benjamin David Vining was wanted by Morgan City Police on a Contempt of Court – Failure to Appear warrant.

Benjamin David Vining was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Contempt of Court – Failure to Appear to Begin Serving a Sentence on Charges Related
to a Traffic / Aggravated Flight Incident in Morgan City

Benjamin David Vining remains incarcerated pending transfer to Morgan City Police.
