FUGITIVE WARRANT – PAROLE VIOLATOR

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Barker Dexter Davis, 52, of 4817 Dryden Road, Port Arthur, Texas, on a warrant for a parole violation from the State of Texas.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle on LA 70 in Belle River on Sunday with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver who identified himself by a fictitious name.
Deputies later determined that the driver’s correct name was Barker Dexter Davis. Upon conducting a warrants and criminal history check, it was determined that Barker Dexter Davis was wanted for a parole violation related to a burglary conviction in the state of Texas.
Barker Dexter Davis was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Fugitive Warrant – State of Texas (Parole Violation)
Barker Dexter Davis remains incarcerated pending extradition proceedings. Davis is being held without bond.
