HIT AND RUN – OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Demond Dantrell Green, 35, of 237 Daggs Street, Belle Rose, LA, and Brittany Monique Truehill, 25, of 308 Philosopher Street, Napoleonville, LA, in connection with a hit and run at a local business on Monday afternoon.
Deputies were dispatched to an area near Plattenville in connection with a private property vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke to the parties who represented to have been the two drivers, one of which was Brittany Monique Truehill. Deputies determined through interviews that a male subject was the driver of one of the vehicles involved and had driven off from the scene. The vehicle returned a short time later and was being driven by Brittany Monique Truehill. She stated preliminarily that she was the driver when she was actually a passenger.
Deputies were able to identify Demond Dantrell Green as the driver. At some point, Truehill eventually confirmed Green as the actual driver.
Brittany Monique Truehill was arrested and booked on a charge of:
*Obstruction of Justice
Demond Dantrell Green was arrested on Tuesday. He was booked on charges of:
*Driving with a Suspended License
*Hit and Run with No Personal Injury
Demond Green was released on a recognizance bond.
Brittany Truehill was released on a $1,000 surety bond.
