ILLEGAL USE OF WEAPONS – GEORGE BELT, III
BERTRANDVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of George Belt, III, 67, of 111 Matthew Street, Bertrandville, LA, on felony charges related to a shots fired complaint on Sunday in the Bertrandville area.
The Sheriff’s Office received information on Sunday that George Belt, III, had fired a gun in an unsafe manner in the general direction towards Highway 1. The incident followed an argument in which George Belt, III was a participant.
Detectives followed up on the complaint on Monday and interviewed Belt. Based on information developed during that interview along with supporting evidence recovered, George Belt, III was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities
George Belt, III was released on a $5,000 bond.
