INVESTIGATIVE STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Felicia Esquivel Dickens, 33, of 122 North Curtis Street, Pierre Part, LA, on felony drug charges following an investigative stop on North Curtis Street early Sunday.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle parked along North Curtis Street without any lighting and noted movement inside of the vehicle.
The deputy made contact with the driver who immediately exited the vehicle. The driver was identified as Felicia Esquivel Dickens.
AS the deputy approached the vehicle, he noted an odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The deputy conducted an officer / violator interview. At the conclusion of the interview, the deputy believed additional investigation was warranted. The deputy summoned a K-9 unit to the scene. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the suspect vehicle and alerted positive for the presence of controlled dangerous substances. During a subsequent search of the suspect vehicle, deputies seized assorted drug paraphernalia, marijuana and suspected methamphetamine.
Felicia Esquivel Dickens was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Felicia Esquivel Dickens was incarcerated and released on a $25,000 bond.
