JULY 4, 2024 – INDEPENDENCE DAY

NAPOLEONVILLE – On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was ratified by the Second Continental Congress and became a federal holiday. The holiday represents people’s efforts to earn and keep freedom and that marks a struggle that remains today.

Thanks to all of our military service branches, we in the United States can live as we do and be protected in doing so.

Let’s all join with Sheriff Leland Falcon in celebrating a safe and Happy Fourth of July and let us understand the true meaning of the holiday.
