KREWE OF VUUDUU MARDI GRAS PARADE – VILLAGE OF NAPOLEONVILLE
NAPOLEONVILLE – The Krewe of Vuuduu Mardi Gras Parade is scheduled to roll at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday). The line-up will begin to organize at 11:30 a.m. at Railroad Park.
There will be traffic disruptions, particularly on LA 1 and inside the village limits.
We urge the motoring public to begin detouring to LA 308 well in advance of the parade to avoid traffic congestion.
Southbound traffic on LA 1 should detour to LA 308 at the hospital (LA 402 Bridge) and can re-enter LA 1 at the LA 1010 (St. Thomas Bridge).
Northbound Traffic on LA 1 should detour to LA 308 at the LA 1010 (St. Thomas Bridge) and can re-enter LA 1 at the LA 402 (Hospital Bridge)
Below is the planned parade route.
The Village of Napoleonville is issuing a permit to Krewe of VuuDuu to host a Mardi Gras Parade within the municipality boundaries on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 2:00 pm. The line-up is scheduled to begin at 11:30 at the Railroad Park. The parade route is as follows:
Start- Railroad Park turn left onto St. Mary St.
Proceed down St. Mary St. to Dr. Martin Luther King
Turn right onto Dr. Martin Luther King
Proceed up Dr. Martin Luther King to Hwy 1
Turn right onto Hwy 1 then turn right onto Franklin Ave.
Proceed down Franklin Ave to St. Mary St.
Turn left on St. Mary St. and proceed straight to Canal St.
Turn left on Canal St. and proceed up to Hwy 1
Turn left on Hwy 1 to Jefferson St.
Turn left on Jefferson St. and proceed down to St. Mary St.
Turn left on St. Mary St. to proceed back to Railroad Park.
