MUGSHOTS PUBLISHED AT TIME OF ARREST ARE NOW PROHIBITED

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

NAPOLEONVILLE – Due to recent legislation voted on and approved by the Louisiana Legislature, the Sheriff’s Office is no longer authorized to publish “Mugshots” (booking photographs) at the time an individual is arrested. This ruling applies to any social media that we now utilize.

The Sheriff’s Office will continue to publish print news articles on social media outlets we now utilize.

The change is effective immediately.
