OUTSTANDING WARRANTS – FELONY DRUG CHARGES
BRUCE JOSEPH FAIR, JR. – I.C.E. ARREST
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Bruce Joseph Fair, Jr., 25 of 117 Thomas Street, Paincourtville, La, on felony charges arising from a domestic incident on December 7, 2022 as well as drug charges resulting from Fair’s arrest on Monday evening.
An I.C.E. assigned deputy was conducting neighborhood patrols near Thomas Street in Paincourtville when he observed a vehicle parked near a residence, the vehicle believed to be owned by Bruce Joseph Fair, Jr. The deputy was aware of warrants existing for the arrest of Bruce Joseph Fair, Jr.
The deputy approached the vehicle and did observe Bruce Joseph Fair, Jr. exiting the vehicle. The deputy immediately arrested Fair. The deputy noted an odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A K-9 was summoned to the location. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of controlled dangerous substances. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of suspected marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Bruce Joseph Fair, Jr. was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Warrant – Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
*Warrant – Domestic Abuse – Aggravated Assault
The two warrants previously filed by deputies are related to the December 7, 2022 incident.
In that matter, Fair and a former domestic partner got into an argument over issues related to their minor child.
During that exchange, Fair is accused of beating on the victim’s vehicle with a cooking pan and at some point, the rear glass on the car was broken causing glass to fly onto the child. Acadian Ambulance was called in order to remove the broken glass from the child’s head.
Deputies applied for and were granted the arrest warrants for Bruce Joseph Fair, Jr.
As a result of the incident, Fair was order held without bond.
