PEDESTRIAN STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION – HARLEY MARIE CAMPO
BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Harley Marie Campo, 27, of 245 Jamie Court, Morgan City, LA, arising from a pedestrian stop in the Bayou L’Ourse area.
On Saturday afternoon, a deputy observed a female walking in the area of Aristle Road and Legnon Court, whom he had knowledge of having an active arrest warrant.
The deputy made contact with the pedestrian suspect and during the officer / suspect interview, Harley Marie Campo provided the officer with what he thought to be false information thus leading the deputy to believe that further investigation was necessary.
Upon conducting a background check verifying the warrant and consent to search a purse which was in Harley Campo’s possession, suspected drugs and paraphernalia were located.
Harley Marie Campo was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine (Felony)
*Possession or Distribution of Drug Paraphernalia
*Resisting an Officer
Harley Marie Campo was released on a $7,000 bond.
