POSSESSION, CONSPIRACY TO POSSES A MACHINE GUN- TREMAINE MILLIEN, JR – KAI C. MILLS
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Tremaine Millien, Jr., 19, of 191 Highway 403, Paincourtville, La., and Kai C. Mills, 17, of 892 Douglas Andrew Dr., Gonzales, La., on felony charges related to the possession of and conspiracy to possess a machine gun.
In late March of 2026, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the U.S. Department of Home-Land Security Investigations of a firearm mechanism utilized to convert a firearm into a fully automatic machine gun that had been ordered by an individual and was to be delivered to a residence near Paincourtville.
The sheriff’s office initiated an investigation which led to the application for a search warrant at the residence in question.
On April 8, 2026, Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Detectives, Narcotics Agents, Immigrations Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security and the United States Postal Service Office of Inspector General converged on the residence located at 191 Highway 403 and executed the search warrant. During the search, investigating officers recovered evidence associated with the charged offenses.
Tremaine Millien, Jr. was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of a Machine Gun
Tremaine Millien, Jr remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Kai C. Mills was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of a Machine Gun
*Criminal Conspiracy
Kai C. Mills was incarcerated and released on a $95,000 commercial bond.
