POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY A CONVICTED FELON

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Dylan Joseph Theriot, 19, of 518 Belle River Road, Pierre Part, La., on charges stemming from a September 28, 2020 incident at the aforementioned address.
On that date, Dylan Theriot reported an incident to the Sheriff’s Office in which an individual went to his home and at some point during a conversation, Theriot was threatened.
During the course of events, Theriot armed himself.
Dylan Joseph Theriot is a prior convicted felon and therefore cannot legally possess a firearm.
A warrant was obtained and on Monday, Dylan Theriot was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center of a charge of:
*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felony
Theriot remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
The other party to the incident, Thomas Joseph Fontenot, 21, of 3227-A Lee Drive, Pierre Part, La., was arrested on September 28, 2020 and booked on charges of Aggravated Assault, Disturbing the Peace and Criminal Trespass. He posted bond shortly thereafter.
