POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY A CONVICTED FELON

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jeremy J. Randle, 36, of 323 Second Street, Franklin, LA, on felony charges arising from an incident at a Labadieville retail outlet early Saturday morning.
Deputies responded to the complaint in the 3000 block of LA 1 and made contact with the complainant who advised that Jeremy J. Randle was inside the business which was closed at the time and he may be armed.
Deputies entered the establishment and located Jeremy J. Randle asleep inside. Upon approaching Randle, deputies observed a handgun in close vicinity of the suspect. Randle was not authorized to be in the building.
During the investigation process, deputies determined that Jeremy J. Randle was a convicted felon and therefore could not legally possess a firearm.
Jeremy J. Randle was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
*Unauthorized Entry of a Place of Business
Jeremy J. Randle remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
