PRINCIPAL TO THEFT, PRINCIPAL TO THEFT OR CRIMINAL ACCESS OF AN ATM – DEJA COHN
NAPOLEONVILLE: Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Deja Cohn, 27, of 105 Sarah Drive, Sunset, LA, on felony charges arising from the burglary of the automated teller machine and the theft of an automobile on or about November 14, 2023.
On the aforementioned date, deputies responded to the burglary of an ATM machine at a local financial institution. A vehicle stolen from a nearby residence was used in the commission of the ATM burglary.
Detectives initiated an investigation and were able to identify Deja Cohn as one of multiple suspects. Warrants were issued for the arrest of Deja Cohn.
On March 13, 2025, Deja Cohn was arrested by the Kermit Police Department in Winkler County, Texas.
Deja Cohn was returned to Assumption Parish from the State of Texas on April 6, 2025. Cohn was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Principal to Theft of a Motor Vehicle
*Principal to Theft (Felony)
*Principal to Theft or Criminal Access of an Automated Teller Machine
Deja Cohn remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing. Cohn was the third suspect charged in this case.
Stanley Varner, II was previously arrested and remains incarcerated with bond set at $50,000 and has multiple fugitive warrants which he is being held without bond. D’Shaun Thomas was previously arrested and posted bond of $120,000.
