PROBATION / PAROLE WARRANT- BRENTON ALSTON JONES
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Brenton Alston Jones, 26 of 8429 Kingview St., St. James, La., on a warrant charging him with a probation / parole violation.
Brenton Alston Jones was convicted of the crimes of illegal carrying of weapons in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of an unidentifiable firearm in Assumption Parish on December 5, 2025. As a result of that conviction, Brenton Alston Jones was sentenced to a term of two years with the Department of Corrections. That sentence was suspended and Brenton Alston Jones was placed on two years of supervised probation and ordered to comply with specific conditions. Brenton Alston Jones violated the terms of his probation resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest on March 05,2026.
Brenton Alston Jones was arrested on Monday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Probation / Parole Violation
*Warrant- Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on April 13,2026 on
Counts of:
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons
Brenton Alston Jones was ordered held without bond on the probation / parole violation.
Bond on the failure to appear charge was set at $1131.50, cash only.
A detainer from probation and parole was issued for Brenton Alston Jones.
