PROBATION VIOLATION, FAILURE TO APPEAR
SHAMAR SAVION WILLIAMS
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Shamar Savion Williams, 20, of 116 Perwood Drive, Houma, LA, on a warrant for a probation violation as well as a warrant for Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on a charge of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Shamar Savion Williams was convicted of possession of methamphetamine in Lafourche Parish on February 14, 2022. Williams was ordered to serve 2 years of supervised probation with special conditions imposed. Williams violated conditions of his probation resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest.
Additionally, Shamar Savion Williams was previously arrested in Assumption Parish on a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Williams was ordered to appear in court on September 19, 2022 and failed to do so. As a result, a warrant was issued for Shamar Savion Williams.
On Monday, Shamar Savion Williams was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Probation Violation – Lafourche Parish
*Failure to Appear – Assumption Parish on a Charge of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Shamar Savion Williams remains incarcerated without bond on the probation violation. Williams bond on the Failure to Appear was set at $200 and he was ordered to appear in court on December 19, 2022
