Public Service Announcement

Public Service Announcement:
Shortly before 3pm today, the Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 600 block of Bayou Dr. Pierre Part in reference to a shooting. Sheriff Leland Falcon and a Uniformed Patrol Deputy arrived on scene and confronted an individual believed to have been involved in the shooting. The Sheriff attempted to speak to the subject. The subject fired a shot grazing the Sheriff. Due to this being an Officer Involved Shooting, we requested Louisiana State Police to investigate. Two individuals were transported to hospitals for treatment and their conditions are unknown at this time. Sheriff Falcon was not seriously injured. At this time, we are unable to release any further information as any additional details must be released by Louisiana State Police.
