PURSUIT / AGGRAVATED FLIGHT – JULES ANTHONY JOINER, JR.

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jules Anthony Joiner, Jr., 23, of 110 La Chene Street, Belle River, La., on felony charges resulting from a speed pursuit on Monday afternoon.

A deputy observed a vehicle on LA 70 in Pierre Part commit a traffic violation and proceeded to stop the violator. As the deputy did so, the suspect vehicle accelerated to speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.

The suspect vehicle was eventually stopped and the driver, now identified as Jules Anthony Joiner, Jr., was arrested. Joiner was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Aggravated Flight
*Speeding
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
*Failure to Drive on Right Side of Road
*Proper Equipment Required on Vehicle
*Turning Movements, Signals Required

Jules Anthony Joiner, Jr. was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
