PURSUIT – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – I.C.E. ARRESTS
JAVON RANELL CLARK and KENNETH M. MOORE, JR.
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Javon Ranell Clark, 26, of 509 Assumption Street, Napoleonville, LA, on multiple drug charges arising out of a traffic incident / pursuit situation late Wednesday evening originating on LA 70 East.
An I.C.E. assigned deputy observed an eastbound vehicle with licensing / registration violations and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The suspect vehicle engaged in a pursuit situation which eventually led into Ascension Parish via LA 3089 then into Donaldsonville.
During the pursuit, deputies observed occupants of the vehicle throwing a large amount of assorted controlled dangerous substances out of the suspect vehicle.
At some point, both the driver and his passenger jumped from the vehicle, now engaging deputies in a foot pursuit.
The passenger, now identified as Javon Ranell Clark was quickly apprehended. Clark was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail as a fugitive from Assumption. He was then transferred to Assumption Parish to be booked on charges.
Javon Ranell Clark was booked into on charges of:
*Possession with Intent to Distribute MDMA (Ecstasy)
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Resisting an Officer (2 Counts)
Javon Ranell Clark, the passenger, remains incarcerated pending a bond proceeding.
The driver, now identified as Kenneth M. Moore, Jr., 30, of 316 Telegraph Street, Napoleonville, LA, remains at large. Warrants for Moore on multiple felony charges have been filed.
