RAPE – SEXUAL BATTERY INVESTIGATION (Correction)
RICHARD PAUL ALLEMOND, JR.

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Richard Paul Allemond, Jr., 32, of 142 Agnes Street, Pierre Part, LA, in connection with a complaint the Sheriff’s Office received relating to a possible kidnapping.

Deputies responded to an Agnes Street address on June 4, 2021.  Deputies reported that the child is believed to have been a victim of felony sex crimes.  The information relative to a possible kidnapping is being investigated and have since been referred to the Criminal Investigations Division.

Detectives were assigned the case and through investigation learned that the child had been lured by the suspect, Richard Paul Allemond, Jr., to his residence with a promise of providing candy to the victim.  Once the child arrived at the suspect’s residence, he allegedly committed multiple sex crimes upon the victim.

The suspect was located at a location in Pierre Part and was detained at that time.

Detectives interviewed a number of witnesses relative to the case.

Detectives additionally secured search warrants and those warrants were executed at addresses within the community. We cannot discuss what if any evidence was seized during the execution of the search warrants.

As the investigation progressed, detectives detained Richard Paul Allemond, Jr. for investigative purposes.

Based upon the investigation, detectives applied for and received  arrest warrants for Richard Paul Allemond, Jr.

Richard Paul Allemond, Jr. was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Facility on charges of:

*First Degree Rape
*Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile
*Sexual Battery

Richard Paul Allemond, Jr. remains incarcerated with bond set at $500,000.
