RECKLESS DRIVING COMPLAINT – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS –
SPENCER ALLEN CHEDOTAL – I.C.E. ARREST

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Spencer Allen Chedotal, 30, of 114 North Curtis, Pierre Part, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a reckless driving complaint originating in the Pierre Part area Friday afternoon.

Deputies were dispatched to the LA 70 area in reference to a complaint of a reckless driver. Deputies eventually located the suspect vehicle at LA 70 and LA 1 near Paincourtville. Deputies made contact with the driver now identified as Spencer Allen Chedotal. The deputy initiated an officer / violator interview and noted a strong odor of suspected alcoholic beverages emitting from the person of Spencer Allen Chedotal. At some point, Chedotal attempted to return to his vehicle at which time Chedotal is believed to have attempted to ingest a dangerous controlled substance. Deputies requested and were granted consent to search the vehicle. During a subsequent search, deputies seized drug paraphernalia, suspected methamphetamine and alcoholic beverage containers.

Spencer Allen Chedotal was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Obstruction of Justice
*Prohibited Acts – Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance
*Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle
*Driving While Intoxicated / Driver Under the Influence – First Offense
*Improper Equipment

Spencer Allen Chedotal remains incarcerated with bond set at $110,000.
