RESIDENTIAL – VEHICLE BURGLARY – DRUG VIOLATIONS

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Phillip Andrew Randolph, 29, of 128 Dottie’s Lane, Franklin, La., after deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint in Labadieville on Thursday.
Deputies were called to a residence on South Holly Road and located the vehicle and its owner who was the subject of the complaint. That individual was Phillip Andrew Randolph.
As the deputy arrived, he observed Randolph removing items from the vehicle.
Through investigation, deputies learned that Randolph had burglarized the residence as well as the vehicle of a friend who had asked him to watch her place while she was away.
During the investigative process, Randolph consented to a search of his vehicle which yielded a quantity of meth-amphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia. Deputies also recovered a check belonging to the victim that Randolph had stolen from the home and wrote to himself.
Phillip Andrew Randolph was arrested and booked on charges of:
*Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling
*Burglary of a Motor Vehicle
*Forgery
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Criminal Trespass
Phillip Andrew Randolph was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
