S.W.A.T. TRAINING

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports that the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. Team conducted a wide variety of training exercises on Wednesday at the Pierre Part Volunteer Fire Department.

The Sheriff’s S.W.A.T. Team conducts regular training which includes building and door breaches, dangerous suspect apprehension, the use of flash percussion bombs, hostage situations and numerous other high risks exercises.

The team conducts extensive training pertaining to active shooters in schools.
