S.W.A.T. TRAINING ON LAKE VERRET
ASSUMPTION PARISH SHERIFF’S OFFICE – LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE AND FISHERIES
LAKE VERRET– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports that on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, the Sheriff’s Office and Wildlife and Fisheries conducted a series of S.W.A.T. exercises on Lake Verret.
The Sheriff’s Water Patrol Division provided equipment support for the training.
“Although we hope we never have to engage in real time situations as practiced on Wednesday, we must maintain absolute perfection in the event those services are required. Wednesday’s exercises were conducted by a group of special operations law enforcement professionals who have and continue to train for real-life events”, Sheriff Leland Falcon said.
Sheriff Falcon thanks all members of both departments who participated in Wednesday’s training.
