SCAM INVESTIGATION – LOCAL MEDICAL DOCTORS

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon is advising parish residents of a SCAM attempting to organize locally.

Today, we have received information from a local healthcare provider (doctor’s office), that a male subject has contacted residents via telephone, representing himself to be from a specific local doctor’s office and offering premier or better healthcare. While the caller made no specific requests for medical or financial information, WE DO FIND THE CALL TO BE SUSPICIOUS AND OR SUSPECT IN NATURE !!

We are actively investigating the matter and we have determined that none of our local medical providers partake in soliciting patients in this manner.

If you receive such a call, we urge everyone to refrain from providing any personal, financial, or medical information to the caller, and you should contact the Sheriff’s Office at 985-369-2912 as well as the healthcare provider the caller is referencing.
