SECOND DEGREE BATTERY – DISTURBANCE

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Andre Rene Davis, 40, of 107 Primrose Drive, Thibodaux, LA, on felony battery charges arising from a disturbance at a residence in the 2600 block of LA 1 in Labadieville.
Deputies made contact with the complainant who advised that there was an ongoing dispute related to some rental property and landlord / tenant issues. Andre Rene Davis went to the location in question and became argumentative with the complainant also identified as the victim. That argument at some point became physical when Andre Rene Davis struck the victim in the face causing the victim significant injuries requiring acute medical care.
At the conclusion of the investigation, deputies believed that probable cause existed to apply for an arrest warrant on Andre Rene Davis.
That arrest warrant was approved, and deputies took Andre Rene Davis into custody in Labadieville on Thursday evening.
Andre Rene Davis was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a charge of:
*Second Degree Battery
Andre Rene Davis remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
