SEX CRIMES AGAINST JUVENILES / OBSTRUCTION

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports two felony arrests connected to an ongoing juvenile sex crimes investigation.
Cody C. Landry, 29, of 114 West Avenue, Napoleonville, LA and Aimee Sanchez Diez, 36, of 114 West Avenue, Napoleonville, LA have been arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation which commenced on July 2, 2020.
On the aforementioned date, deputies responded to a complaint related to a female juvenile having been sexually abused.
Detectives were able to establish that the reported crimes occurred during an approximate time frame spanning from 2019 thru 2020 at the 114 West Avenue, Napoleonville address.
Detectives were able to develop Cody C. Landry as the suspect.
Based on material facts established during the course of the investigation, detectives applied for and were granted arrest warrants for Cody C. Landry.
Landry evaded authorities for several days, but with the assistance of the Gonzales Police Department, he was arrested early Tuesday. Cody C. Landry was transported to the jurisdiction of Assumption Parish and booked into the detention center on charges of:
*Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile
*Molestation of a Juvenile
Both the above offenses are felonies and require sex offender registration.
Cody C. Landry was released after posting a $150,000 surety bond.
As part of the continued investigation, detectives determined that Aimee Sanchez Diez was complicit in aiding Cody C. Landry evading arrest.
Warrants were obtained for Aimee Sanchez Diez.
Diez was arrested on Wednesday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Accessories after the Fact
*Obstruction of Justice
Aimee Sanchez Diez remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
