SEX CRIMES INVOLVING A CHILD – DARIEN HENRY

BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Darien Henry, 21, of 2233 North Vega, Baton Rouge, LA, on felony sex crimes charges against a child.

On January 13, 2021, detectives responded to a complaint related to a 20-year-old adult having engaged in sexual activity with an underage female at a location in Belle Rose.

Detectives immediately commenced an investigation and were able to identify the suspect as Darien Henry. Through investigation, detectives recovered video surveillance footage which supported the allegations. Additionally, detectives recovered evidence indicating that the suspect and the victim corresponded through social media at which time the sexual encounter was arranged.

Detectives applied for and were granted arrest warrants for Darien Henry.

Darien Henry turned himself into Ascension Parish Deputies and was then transferred to Assumption Parish.

Darien Henry was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Tuesday on charges of:

*Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile.
*Computer Aided Solicitation of Juveniles

Darien Henry was incarcerated and released on a $300,000 bond.
