SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION VIOLATION – CORNELL JOHNSON
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Cornell Johnson, 61, of 3726 Highway 1, Napoleonville, LA, on felony charges related to sex offender registration arising from a 2004 sex crimes conviction.
Cornell Johnson was convicted of forcible rape on the aforementioned date and was sentenced to a term of imprisonment. As a result of that conviction, Cornell Johnson is required to notify and register continuously as s child predator / sex offender.
On May 22, 2025, sheriff’s detectives requested and were granted a warrant charging him with sex offender registration violations.
Cornell Johnson was arrested Tuesday evening and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Failure to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender / Child Predator
Cornell Johnson remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
