SEX OFFENDER VIOLATION – MARANDA HAMPTON

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Maranda Hampton, 30, of 164 Andras Street, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on a felony warrant charging her with Failure to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender.

Maranda Hampton was previously convicted of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile in 2021. As a result, Maranda Hampton is required to register and notify as a sex offender.

Upon investigation by detectives, Maranda Hampton was not residing at the address she registered and did not notify of a change of address. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Maranda Hampton.

Maranda Hampton was arrested on September 4, 2023, by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office. Hampton was transported to Assumption Parish on Wednesday and booked into the Detention Center on charges of:

*Failure to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender
*Detainer – Probation and Parole

Maranda Hampton remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
