SHERIFF FALCON URGES CAUTION AS TO WHAT YOU PLACE IN
ROADSIDE GARBAGE
NAPOLEONVILLE – Sheriff Falcon wants to caution all Parish residents to be observant as to not place documents which may contain credit card numbers, driver’s license information, social security numbers, etc., into your garbage without properly shredding those first.
We have received complaints along LA 1 from Napoleonville north towards Paincourtville that some garbage bags placed for roadside pick-up are actually being stolen. In at least one instance, there is video surveillance footage which captures unknown individuals rummaging through garbage and taking such.
This is a popular way for thieves to steal your financial information and /or identity.
Sheriff Falcon urges everyone to shred susceptible documents before you place for roadside pick-up.
